About Me

I care deeply about helping organizations understand and strengthen the programs and relationships that support young people, families, and communities. My work is grounded in the belief that research and evaluation should not only generate knowledge, but also help people make better decisions and improve what they do.

My path to this work began in the classroom. I started my career as an elementary teacher, where I saw firsthand how relationships, environments, and opportunities shape young people’s learning and well-being. That experience continues to shape how I approach research and evaluation today, with a focus on practical insight, collaboration, and respect for the realities of program work.

Over the past decade, I have worked as a senior research scientist and program evaluator, leading studies and evaluations that inform programs, policy, and practice. I hold a Master of Science in Special Education, a Master of Public Health, and PhD in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota.

I bring experience designing mixed-methods studies, program evaluations, and measurement tools, as well as translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights. I am especially drawn to work that helps organizations learn, adapt, and strengthen their impact over time.

Outside of work, I live in Minneapolis with my spouse and two children, finding my north star in family, community, and the city’s many lakes.
